What cannot be sold on Wildberries?
On Wildberries, it is prohibited to sell alcohol, weapons, tobacco, drugs, pornographic products, and a number of other product categories — a complete ban is established by the legislation of the Russian Federation and the platform's rules. Violation carries a fine of 25,000 to 100,000 ₽ per case, and the product itself may be disposed of without compensation.
Which products are completely prohibited for sale on Wildberries
Products that cannot be sold under any operating model — neither from a WB warehouse nor from your own warehouse — are completely prohibited.
Here is the current list of the most popular categories:
Alcoholic products — ethyl alcohol, alcohol-containing products, including powdered alcohol
Weapons and ammunition — firearms, gas weapons, stun guns, cartridges and their components
Edged and thrown weapons, including brass knuckles
Narcotic and psychotropic substances — including cannabis products and CBD oil for internal use
Tobacco and nicotine-containing products — cigarettes, vapes, electronic cigarettes, liquids, hookahs, bongs. As of December 11, 2024, aroma inhalers were also blocked
Devices for covert information gathering and signal jammers — GPS, GSM, Wi-Fi and similar
Explosive, toxic and radioactive substances
Products with prohibited symbols — Nazi symbols, promotion of drugs or animal cruelty
Pornographic products
Counterfeit goods — products violating copyright and trademark rights
Jewelry without a hallmark (exception — domestically produced silver)
Military equipment and uniforms — army equipment, special means of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, state awards
Child restraint devices that do not meet the requirements of TR CU 018/2011

Products available for sale only from the seller's warehouse
Some products are prohibited for storage and sale from a WB warehouse but are permitted for sale from the seller's warehouse. These are the FBS ("Marketplace") and DBS ("Showcase"/"Pickup from seller's store") models. In this case, the seller bears all risks and responsibility for storage.
These products include:
electronic lighters, gas camping stoves and grills, charcoal lighters
products containing hydrogen peroxide, chlorine, without safety markings and certificates for the container and substance
automotive and cast rubber, rubber tires
acids with a concentration of 76% or higher and a container volume greater than 500 ml, such as phosphoric or acetic acid
hydrochloric acid in a concentration above 16%
solid fuel, saltpeter, slaked and quicklime, soot cleaning agents
over-the-counter medications, including veterinary ones, if the seller does not have a license to sell the drugs.

Which products are partially restricted depending on the operating model
Partially restricted products are categories that can only be sold when working under a specific scheme. FBW ("From Wildberries warehouse") is the strictest model: it has access to the fewest product categories. FBS and DBS offer more freedom.

As the table shows, the less Wildberries' logistics resources are involved, the wider the list of permitted products. "Showcase", "Showcase Express" and "Pickup from seller's store" have the fewest restrictions, as WB's warehouse and delivery are not involved in these formats at all.
Fine for selling prohibited products on Wildberries
Fines are fixed and apply to each individual violation:
25,000 ₽ — for placing a product in a listing or supplying to a warehouse a product prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation or the platform's rules
100,000 ₽ — for spontaneously combustible and self-igniting products from a special list (item 3 of the list of prohibited products)
In addition to the fine, the following occurs:
The product listing is blocked
Warehouse employees send the product to a pickup point for return to the seller
The marketplace has the right to dispose of the prohibited product without any compensation
Limit on the total amount of fines:
if a seller is charged several fines for the same violation within 31 calendar days, their total amount is limited depending on turnover. After reaching the limit, each subsequent fine for the same violation will be 0.01 ₽.
The list of prohibited products on Wildberries is not a static document. The platform regularly updates it: after legislative changes, high-profile incidents, or internal decisions. Check the current version of the list before each new supply — especially if you work with chemicals, dietary supplements, medications, or children's products.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my account on Wildberries be blocked if I sell a prohibited product?
A one-time violation usually does not lead to an account block — the product listing is blocked, a fine is imposed, and the product is returned to the seller. However, in case of systematic violations, the platform has the right to completely block the seller dashboard.
Does the country of manufacture affect whether a product can be sold?
Yes, partially. For example, silver jewelry of domestic production is allowed without a hallmark, while imported ones are not. Also, prohibitions apply taking into account the legislation of all delivery countries where Wildberries operates, not just Russia.
Can I sell replicas of branded products?
No. Products that violate copyright or trademark rights are completely prohibited. Listing replicas and fakes of well-known brands is a direct basis for blocking the listing and a fine of 25,000 ₽.
Can I sell used items on Wildberries?
Wildberries does not officially prohibit the sale of used goods as such, but they must fully comply with the platform's requirements for labeling, packaging, and description in the listing. In practice, selling used items in most categories is extremely difficult due to requirements for documentation, certificates, and the condition of the product.
